My name is Rebecca and I live in Oklahoma with my husband, two cats, and my husband’s human-sized dog. I’ve been drawing for all of my life, but I didn’t start painting until much later. I’ve been practicing watercolor painting for maybe 5 or 6 years now, but I didn’t get serious about it until I started doing commissions!
I was inspired to start painting after reading a picture book called “Beatrix Potter and Her Paint Box” by David McPhail. I had worked in a library, and every time I came across an interesting looking picture book, I would go ahead and read it right then and there. I had always admired the look of watercolor artwork, so after reading that book, I decided it was time to try it out myself!
I’ve made so many paintings since then, and I hope to be able to make many more in my lifetime.
